1. What riwayah are taught in the Academy for recitation and memorization course?

The Academy teaches Hafs ‘an asim tariq al shatibiyah currently.

2. How can I register for the recitation/memorization course?

Register through the website at www.tmeag.com
You will get a reply within 3 working days Inshaa Allah. You may want to check the available schedules first with Student Affairs Department before you register.

3. What do I do if I don’t get a response from Academy after registering through the website?

Email the Student Affairs Department at admin@tmeag.com

4. Can I enroll my children to recitation/memorization classes?

Yes. We accept girls from the age of 8 years and above while for boys, we accept from age 8-10 years old.

5. How are the recitation and memorization courses conducted?

Both courses are conducted Live on Skype via Audio Only.
The students will recite one by one in front of the class teacher.
Each class has a maximum of 10 students for the Recitation Course and 6 students for Memorization Course.
Duration of each class is 1 hour and 15 minutes long depending on the number of students registered in class.

6. Do I get a certificate for memorization?

Yes, upon completion of each Juz and after passing the assessment with the Academy.

7. Do I get a certificate for recitation?

The recitation certificate can only be given to “Khatm program” students who has taken the assessment.

8. Are there any on-site classes being offered?

Yes, On-site classes are available at Bukit Jelutong and Penang in Malaysia.

9. I prefer to have a 1-1 private class, is there any option to suit my preference?

Yes. You can send in your request to admin@tmeag.com for 1-1 class and for further information.

10. Is there an option for me to change my class?

Yes, however the change of class can only take place at the beginning of the new term. **Subject to class availability

11. Do I need to know tajwid rulings for the Recitation and Memorization course?

Yes. The teacher uses the tajwid terminologies in class starting from level Purple and above.

12. Is it compulsory to take TME course for recitation course?

It is compulsory for students who have reached level four (Purple) and above.

13. What do the colors represent?

Each color represents a certain level of recitation. There are 8 levels in total:
1. White (Beginner)
2. Yellow
3. Pink
4. Purple (Intermediate)
5. Red
6. Brown
7. Black/Sapphire (Highest)

14. Will my recitation be evaluated?

Yes, every term the class teacher will evaluate and send nominations for those who progressed to the Colour Confirmation.

15. Alhamdulillah I have just reached Black/Sapphire level. What are my options?

There are 4 options for a student once they reach Black level:

  1. Memorization Course
  2. Khatm Program 
  3. Nurturing Program
  4. Probationary Teachers-in Training Program (PTiTP)
  5. Quran Teacher Program (coming soon)

1. What is Khatm program?

The Khatm Program is to read the Qur’an and maintaining the correct recitation from cover to cover with the guidance of a trained teacher.

2. Who is eligible for the “Khatm program”?

Students who have reached the highest level in the Academy which is Black and Sapphire color.

3. What is the duration for the Khatm Program?

Each class is 1 hour and 15 minutes long depending on the number of students registered in class.

4. How many students are there in each group class?

Each class has a maximum of 10 students.

5. I prefer to have a 1-1 private class, is there any option to suit my preference?

Yes. You can send in your request to admin@tmeag.com for 1-1 class and for further information.

6. Is there an option for me to change my class?

1. What is SFS course and who is eligible to take the course?

SFS stands for Starting For Scratch and it is for beginners who are new to recitation of the Qur’an. It is designed to build the foundations of Qur’an recitation, through the recognition and correct pronunciation of Arabic letters.

2. What is TME Course and who is eligible to take TME?

TME stands for Tajweed Made Easy and it is an advanced tajwid course that has been tailored to make the fundamentals of tajwid easy for the layperson, facilitating the process of perfecting Quran recitation. One should email to admin@tmeag.com to get her recitation assessed first to check if she is eligible to enroll in this course.

3. I am not a student yet; how do I register for the course?

The course intake schedules are updated on our website main page under the title of upcoming courses or on social media [Facebook, Instagram and Twitter (TMEAGlobal)]. To register, please go to our website www.tmeag.com OR email Student Affairs Department at admin@tmeag.com to submit your request.

4. The timing of the course doesn't fit my schedule, what should I do?

There are following options which you can choose from:

i.Inform the Student Affairs Department of your preferred days and timing. As soon as there are minimum number of students registering for the same days and times, a course will be opened.
ii.To gather a number of sisters (minimum 8) for your preferred days and timing; and then inform the Student Affairs Department once sufficient 8 to 10 sisters are ready to take the course.
iii.Lastly, wait for the next intake. Visit our website (www.tmeag.com) or follow us on social media [Facebook, Twitter, Instagram (tmeaglobal)] for the updates on course intakes.

5. How are the courses conducted?

For online; the courses are conducted via Wiziq. The Student Affairs Department will give instructions on how to join and create classes.
For onsite; we will announce the location and venue.

6. What do I need in order to learn the course online?

For an effective study and a wholesome course experience, students are advised to use a laptop/PC/tablet to operate WIZIQ. We are not able to guarantee the same experience for students who use their mobile phones during the course as there are certain functions that are not user-friendly by mobile phones.

7. Is Wiziq user friendly?

8. What is the duration for one class in both TME and SFS courses?

Each class is 2 hours long, twice a week.

9. How long does it take to complete both TME and SFS Courses?

Both courses will take 6 weeks to complete In shaa Allah.

10. If I miss any of TME or SFS class, how do I catch up?

For online; students can view the recording for the respective class which you have missed. The recording will be deleted after 1 month from the date you finish the course.
For onsite; by getting information from your classmates.

11. Will I get any certificate after I have completed the TME course?

Yes. An E-certificate will be emailed bi-annually in July or December.

12. Will I get any certificate after I have completed the SFS course?

No certificates are issued upon the completion of SFS.

13. I prefer to have a 1-1 class, is there any option to suit my preference?

Yes. You can send in your request to admin@tmeag.com for 1-1 class and further information.

1. What is Nurturing Program?

The Nurturing Program is a program that has been tailor-made for students who are looking to improve themselves spiritually, and in doing so, inspire others. The journey of becoming a wholesome Muslimah, molding personality and coaching the student in Qur’an recitation, as a gateway to attaining a Sanad.

2. Who is eligible for the Nurturing Program ?

Students who have reached the highest level in the Academy which is Black OR Sapphire color.

3. When is the next intake for Nurturing Program?

1. What is the fee for the courses/programs in the Academy?

1.TME Course is RM500 per course (onsite/online)
2.TME INTENSIVE course is RM600 per course (onsite only)
3. SFS Course is RM200 per course (onsite/online)
4. Recitation Course is RM300 per term (onsite/online)
5. Memorization Course is RM300 per term (online)
6. Khatm Program is RM300 per term (onsite/online)
7. Nurturing Program is RM250 per month (online)
8. PTiTP is RM300 – RM400 per month (online) **Subject to changes

2. What is the term in the Academy Calendar for a year?

Term 1 – January to March
Term 2 – April to June
Term 3 – July to September
Term 4 – October to December

1. I cannot afford the fees but I want to study. What should I do?

3. I don’t have a bank account or a PayPal. How do I make my payment?

4. What currency do you accept?

We accept Malaysian Ringgit (MYR), British Pound (GBP), Euro (EUR) and US Dollars (USD).

Note: Our fees are in Malaysian ringgit, thus kindly email admin@tmeag.com for the fees according to the current exchange rates.

5. Can I transfer via Western Union, MoneyGram or other remittance agents?

We are very sorry but we are not able to accept these payment methods at this moment.

6. What should I do after I make my payment?

7. When should I pay my termly class fees?

Fees for each Term must be paid upfront by the 27th of last month of the Term.

1. What is a sanad?

A Sanad is a certificate that a person receives from another Sheikh or Sheikhah that goes on and on all the way back to the Prophet Mohammad sallallahu ‘alaihi wa salam.

2. Can I get a sanad after completing my TME?

No

3. Can I get a sanad after reaching Black level?

No

4. When can I get my sanad?

Upon passing the Sanad Examination under the Teachers in Training Program of TMEAG OR after you have completed Nurturing Program. (Terms and Conditions apply)

1. Will there be an exam at the end of the courses?

(i) SFS course – NO

2. Can I sit for the TME re-sit exam if I failed or didn’t achieve the marks I hoped for?

Yes there is a re-sit conducted yearly. Registration for re-sit exam will be announced to students 1 month before the exam date In shaa Allaah. **Terms & Conditions applies

3. What is the fee for the re-sit TME exam?

The fee for the re-sit exam is RM 50.

4. Will my recitation be evaluated?

Yes, every term the class teacher will evaluate and send nominations for those who progressed to the Colour Confirmation.

3. What are the requirements to be a teacher in the Academy?

The requirements are:
a.Must be a student of the Academy.
b.Recitation strength meets the standard of a highest level in the Academy. (i.e. Black/Sapphire)
c.Students must attend the Khatm Recitation class for at least one Term (3 months)
d.Completed Tajweed Made Easy (TME) course at TMEAG.
e.Applicants must score 80% or above in the subjective teachers exam.
f.Must be able to teach FULL-TIME immediately after passing the training program.
g.Must understand and speak English fluently.

4. How can I be a volunteer at TMEAG?

4. Are these events open to the public?

All the events are open to public EXCEPT Qur’an Competition 2020.

5. What is Vibrant Ramadhan?

7. Does the Academy conduct similar classes for males?

Yes and we only offer classes to boys of the age 8-10 years old.

8. Do you offer Arabic classes?

No, we do not offer Arabic classes.
